Alise and Ariane wrote a blog post for “Small Things Considered” on a recent paper using cryoET and FIB milling to gain new insight into sporulation in Bacillus.

Its titled “Space-tolerant Micronauts”, and features, besides the new findings of the study, a comparison of Spores and Tardigrades, as well as an explanation of the methods used.
